Writing WA has been thrilled to see the Love to Read Local Week campaign grow in popularity each year since its inception in 2019. This enthusiasm and core spirit of showcasing our wonderful state of Western Australian literary talent has spurred us on to create additional initiatives at other times of the year, thanks to support from our partners and sponsors.

The above activities are part of Changing the Conversation: Stories in all Spaces, a 2024-25 cross-disciplinary project kindly funded by the WA Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries. The project is designed to build new bridges between writing and other creative fields, offering a series of immersive, often experimental experiences designed to reshape how literature is perceived across the community.
